Treasure Quest

During my early days in SL, I played Treasure Quest, a treasure hunt that spans many sims. It was a source of fun and resources for clothing my av. Back then, I didnt know or read any freebie blogs. Hence, Treasure Quest is an important part of my SL life.

Today, Treasure Quest has gone bigger with more designers sponsoring the prizes. In addition, the monthly treasure quest is now occuring twice a month. I still remembered that I had to pay 1L for each prize I win. Now, I dont have to pay a single cent.

Writing this post bring back fond memories. I remembered how busy the Treasure Quest Hunters group IM were, how we were helping each other to solve the clues. The clues used to be pretty hard. I eventually learn to solve the clues without any help.

I stop playing Treasure Quest this year as Treasure Quest is quite time consuming. However, it is so fun that I want to let all of you know especially now that it is featured by a freebie blog. For about a year, I wonder why no freebie blogger blogs about this amazing hunt. Now that someone did it, I am so happy.

If you want to have maximum fun in the treasure hunt, I suggest not refering to slurls as it takes the fun out of the hunt. There is no mystery as you now know where prizes are hidden.

EDIT: Although I am a girl most of time, I have many types of avs. Examples include senior citizen and tinies which are mainly bears to cats to dragon to birds!!! I love them all and I have decided in my next school holiday, I gonna make myself a male av. YAY!

RL Things

I don’t drink beer, wine or the like. In the future, I may have to but I definitely don’t want to.

I like to dance in my room just for fun.

My dad just moves one of our computers to my room. This is my first time using the computer in my room and it feels refreshing!

I have three computers at home. One in the living room, one in my dad’s room and one in my room

I have a monitor and TV that requires some banging on them in order to be reusable. Reason for banging: The TV is old while someone throws the monitor and my dad picks it up to use.

SL Things

My av is not pretty all the time but I still like to look at it.

Most of the people in my friends list are men. (Edit: that sound so ... but it is true)

I don’t believe in offering friendship until I know someone well enough. “Well enough” is very subjective. (Edit: I have not offer friendship before so after thinking for a while, I still dont know when to offer friendship.)

Most of my inventory and what I wear are free or 1L items. I do spend but not so much on shopping but on services E.g. Tips for clubbing.

I love hair. It is my favourite.

There has been lots of comments on taking off attachments, maintain Avatar Rendering Cost of 1 etc. so as to reduce lag. Here's a interesting article that dispells the myths of what cause lag.

Gogo from JuicyBomb wrote an article about how to light up one's av for photo taking without having to wear facelight. The instructions are very easy. I dont know whether it will work for me but I will definitely try them the next time I take a photo.
