Meet boi

Meet my second male avatar, boi!

His name is called boi because I saw this name over at Free*Style and thought it look nice (not sound nice cos I can’t pronounce it). However, I have no idea what it means. Anyway, all my avatars reside on my red ice account so boi is just a name I use in my inventory.

I got him when I stalked a lucky board featured by Sliver Milneaux from Free*Style. The shape and the skin (not shown but I love it too) are created by a Taiwanese.

From there, the rest is just an accumulation of inventory. :)

Ajaxlife is gone

My computer is crap so I decide to use Ajaxlife, which allows me to run SL in a web browser. Unfortunately, Ajaxlife is gone.

I then went to Second Life Wiki on alternative viewers, hoping to find viewers like Ajaxlife. However, to use such text based alternative viewers, I have to download them. It is a hassle that Ajaxlife does not have.

Well, I guess I have to continue to use the graphic viewers until I have the "courage" to download the text-based clients.

Let also hope that there is another Ajaxlife.

I have never been on a date before. This is probably because I am inactive and don't socialise often. Hence, when I came accross this song during my youtube surfing, I find it very interesting and well-sung.

I kinda disagree with the song that one can log off if the date don't go well. There is bound to be some feelings transmitted between both sides that go beyond the computer.

You can earn an income from SL

I know that one can earn an income from virtual worlds like Second Life. However, properly due to my old-fashioned thinking, I tend not to associate virtual worlds with income. This CNN money video proves otherwise.

Second Life Discovery Island

I find the video to introduce Second Life Discovery Island very funny. The opportunity to make a postcard at the island (shown in the video) seems fun too.

Do you ever change your SL password?

With all that news about hacking into accounts, have you wonder whether your SL account will be hacked? Someone tries to impersonate you and use up all your L$ by transferring to his/her account (which is of course an alt account)? Or use your name to perform bad things like spoiling your relationship with your friends?

Come to think about it, the simplest and only way I know of to prevent the above, is to change your SL password on a regular basis.

Do you ever change your SL password? Or you think the nasty things explained in 1st para are unlikely to happen?

Toob Race

Remember this welcome screen? Like to ride on these rings (known as toobs)?

There's this toob race by NCI (New Citizens Inc). The race is conducted as part of its beach party. NCI is a voluntary organisation which educates and assists new and old SL users. Details of the party:

Date: Every Saturday
Time: 7-9pm SLT (Actual time of toob race is from 8pm onwards)

Training?: Yes, it is before 7pm but you have to be in the NCI group to know the exact training time.

It is not easy to ride on the toob but I have lots of fun. It is also a good opportunity to know more people. If you finish the race, you can win L$. Do better - get third, second or 1st place and you will get more L$.

Sometimes, after the party, I will visit the Kuula (another NCI place). You may get to see interesting stuff:



The robots weren't happy that I call them big guys but they are really gigantic.

What I am doing

Currently, I am looking for a freelance job (That’s the gist of the blog post, if you have no time to read).

I dont have any income in SL. No credit cards, no premium account whatsoever. I decide that it’s time to go out, get a job, and later spend all that $$ as a way to thank the generous designers. And of course, to boost the SL economy at the same time

As I prefer to work as I want to, I decide to search for freelance jobs. I don’t mind how low the pay is as long as it is better than camping rate and it is a job that I want to do. Looking at the SL forums, I realise the only freelance jobs available in abundance are the writers and dancers. I can write but I don’t know about creative writing (my blog has the best evidence haha). I am a little shy and am not interested with flirting with guys. However, I love clubbing and dressing up for the theme of the day. Hence, I thought why not give dancing a try? I could pretend to flirt and try to be sociable.

If you need a freelancer for any reason, IM me. Who knows, I may be able to do it. The compensation dont have to be in cash. I have an accounting background, btw.

It's me and SL Viewer 1.23

Hello, I am back! Last night, when I was installing SL, I realise SL Viewer 2.0 is now the primary viewer. I prefer the old viewer cos my computer is old. Hence, I am not sure whether the new viewer will work on my PC. I also havent check the system requirements for the new viewer. To me, as long as the SL viewer 1.23 works, I will continue to support it!

Anyone continues to use SL viewer 1.23? Like to have your comments so that Lindens can let us use the viewer 1.23!

Finally, I have Me!

For 2 years and a half, I have been trying to find a skin that is me. Finally, I found it.

The freckles remind me of my pimples, the blush(I have a natural blush on my face), and finally the lips and teeth; remind me of the old me.
